Sea Kayaking Guide and Intern Positions – Haines, Alaska (summer season)

This position involves guiding in our day trip kayaking tour program which introduces cruise line passengers to sea kayaking during a 4-hour tour. Individuals need to be safety conscious, energetic, positive, good communicators, and work well in a team environment. We are looking for individuals who possess sea kayaking experience and have current First Aid (WFR or WEMT preferred) and CPR certifications. Based on performance and experience, other guiding opportunities may become available throughout the summer.


Rock Climbing/Zip Line Guide and Intern Positions – Skagway, Alaska – (summer season)

AMG offers cruise line based climbing and zip line tours in Skagway, Alaska. Guiding in the program involves introducing cruise line passengers to rock climbing or zip lining during a 3-hour tour. We are looking for individuals who possess climbing or ropes course facilitation experience and have current First Aid (WFR or WEMT preferred) and CPR certifications. Company housing is available. Based on performance and experience, other guiding opportunities may become available throughout the summer.

Zip-Line, Adventure Park and Rock Climbing Site Manager Position – Skagway, Alaska – (summer season)

The site manager position manages the facilitation of these two programs for guests visiting Skagway, Alaska on cruise ship based day trips. The site manager is responsible for ensuring guest safety by making certain that guides adhere to all safety protocols and leading ongoing site inspection and preventative course maintenance. This position will oversee a guiding staff of 30-40 guides depending on the time of the summer.

The site manager works closely with administrative staff to ensure a smooth flow of communication between the office and on-site operations. Some scheduling and office tasks will be required and necessitate a basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Previous management experience is required for this position and ACCT experience is preferred.


Cruise Ship Program Marketing Manager – Skagway, Alaska – (April thru October 15)


  • Minimum 2 years Experience working in the Alaska Cruise Industry
  • Great customer service interface, dependable, self starter, team player, motivated sales representative
  • CDL license


  • 3+ years experience working in Alaska Cruise Industry
  • Experience with database programs


Accounting Assistant Haines, Alaska (April thru September)

This is a summer seasonal accounting department support position. Accounting experience is valued: Quickbooks experience, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, balance sheets, grasp of accounting principles, attention to detail, etc… Must be proficient in MS Office, experience with data entry in databases, ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and have excellent customer service skills. Some duties include: payroll review, invoicing, phone and email correspondence, sales support and general operations support.


Administrative Assistant Haines, Alaska (April thru September)

This is a sales and administration support position. The position is often the first point of contact for current and potential guests and requires individuals who are engaging, energetic, positive and excellent communicators. Applicants must also be detailed oriented, and work well with a team. Office based and sales skills are crucial to this position. Experience with MS Office, Outlook and data entry in databases required. Prior sales/customer service experience preferred. Duties include: Sales, marketing, client Support, answering phones, answering client questions, responding to email inquiries, driving guests and students, booking clients and taking payment, support of trip operations out of office, and a variety of other responsibilities to help support sales and daily operations.


Assistant Office Manager Skagway, Alaska (mid-April thru September)

This position assists with the facilitation and administration of our Skagway rock climbing and zip line day trip programs.Applicants should be individuals who are energetic, positive, excellent communicators, and work well in a team environment. A multitude of responsibilities are associated with this position so versatility and the ability to adapt are a must. Duties will include guest interaction, guide scheduling, dock repping, cruise ship relations, inventory control, driving, retail sales, and light bookkeeping.


Cruise Program Operations Manager Haines, Alaska (April thru September)

The operations manager is responsible for all aspects of our Haines cruise ship shore excursion programs.  These programs are offered to cruise ship guests and include kayaking, hiking, golf and sightseeing tour programs. The Cruise Program Operations Manager will oversee a staff of up to 20 guides and office employees. Duties will include scheduling, logistics, staff training, cruise ship relations and correspondence, marketing of programs, and assisting with support of other company programming as needed. Prior management experience preferred.
