Join us at Alaska Mountain Guides & Climbing School Inc. for an unrivaled wilderness experience. Just follow the steps below to sign up for one of our programs. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the process.

We utilize an online document signing service, Formstack, for the majority of our paperwork. This is free to you and helps ensure all documents are easily completed and sent to us with the least amount of work on your end. When you place your deposit, you will receive an automated packet with the necessary registration forms for your trip.

In order to Register complete the following steps:
    1. Call our office to determine availability and reserve your space with a deposit. (1-800-766-3396)
    2. One of our Expedition's Admin team will reach out to you with a Welcome Letter, including all important information. Shortly after, you will receive a link to Formstack, where you will be able to fill out Registration Forms and Waivers.
    3. All registration materials must be returned 45 days prior to the trip departure date.

DEPOSITS: A deposit of $500 or 25% of trip cost (whichever is less) will reserve your space on any single US/Canada domestic trip or course. Full payment is due 90 days prior to departure.

PAYMENTS: We accept personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, wire transfers, and most major credit cards. If you would like to use a wire transfer, please contact us for details.

REFUNDS: In the event that you are unable to join us the following guidelines will apply. All deposits include a $150 non-refundable registration fee. Full Refunds, less the registration fee, will be provided 90 days prior to the trip date. 50% refunds will be provided 60-89 days prior to the trip date. The 50% retained by AMGCSI can be credited towards another trip or course if used within 12 months. No refunds will be provided within 59 days of the trip date. This policy has been established to meet the demands of planning well-organized trips and courses. If for any reason a course ends early there will be no refund. If you have not paid in full 90 days prior to your trip's departure, and you have not contacted us regarding other payment options, we reserve the right to schedule another individual in your place. In this event, you are responsible for any associated costs.

IF YOUR TRIP IS CANCELLED: If for any reason, AMGCSI has to cancel your trip, all deposits and trip payments will be refunded in full, or are fully transferable to another trip. AMGCSI will not be responsible for any costs associated with cancellations including, but not limited to: flight cancellation fees, flight change fees, and/or associated lodging and meal fees.

WEATHER DELAYS AND ASSOCIATED CONSIDERATIONS: In the event that your trip is unable to depart at the scheduled time, individuals are responsible for any associated costs including food and lodging. Furthermore, weather or other challenges may make it difficult to cover all course curriculum points. In the event that a trip or course is delayed or changed, AMGCSI is not responsible for any delays or changes in the course structure.

LIABILITY WAIVER: All participants are required to sign our liability release form. Please take time to read this form and make yourself familiar with it before signing.

MEDICAL, TRAVEL, & CANCELLATION INSURANCE: Individuals are responsible for any medical costs, including all associated rescue, evacuation, and transportation costs. Please take time to review your medical insurance policy. Make certain that your coverage extends to the location of your trip, and that it provides coverage for any potential associated costs, including rescue and evacuation. Many policies will provide coverage for travel abroad for a small additional fee. We highly recommend Travel Guard trip insurance through AIG.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY: Course participants are responsible for their own well-being. This includes good health and strong physical condition. Participants joining an AMGCSI trip/course/expedition may be required to obtain a physician's release prior to departure. Expedition members are responsible for: knowing all pre-departure information, preparing proper equipment and clothing, conforming to basic standards of personal hygiene (to minimize the risk of travelers' diseases), and acting in a considerate manner toward all groups members and with respect for each country's customs. Participants are prohibited from using illegal drugs and alcohol while on AMGCSI courses. Participants give their consent for AMGCSI to use their photograph, likeness, and/or voice to be used in its publications, including websites.
